Step1
15 Min Cut peeled cassava into big chunks. Boil in a saucepan or pressure cooker till done. Once done, drain and mash into a bowl using a fork or a master.

5 Min Prepare the vegetables and coriander as indicated in the ingredients list. Add to the mashed cassava. Add turmeric, salt and pepper. Mix well.

5 Min Shape mixture into small rounds and then flatten (between palms) to form patties.

1 Min Heat a small amount of oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
Step5
6 Min Once the oil is hot, add the patties. Cook the patties until the bottom is golden brown (3-4 minutes). Then, carefully turn each patty and cook on the other side until brown (3-4 minutes). Remove from the pan.
Step6
1 Min The patties can be served with mint chutney (‘chatini la mente’).
